Seven years after planning efforts began, a world-class garden designed by famed landscape architect Piet Oudolf on Belle Isle Park is finished. The final plantings — all-native perennials, grasses and shrubs — were put in at the Oudolf Garden Detroit on Belle Isle this month, filling in meadows that visitors will be able to cross via a new boardwalk.
