18,000 plants going into the ground for Belle Isle’s new garden | WXYZ

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Visitors will now have one more reason to visit Belle Isle.

Construction of a new, ground-breaking garden begins today – 18,000 plants will go into the ground as world-renowned Dutch designer Piet Oudolf brings this masterpiece to life.
